A 1990s-style sitcom in which a cutesy family (literally named the Christians) is home-invaded by a bloodthirsty Russian father and his two teenage sons. Krazy House’s jarring tonal shifts, the pitiless vision of a devastated society, and its ultimate breaking of the fiction’s ‘fourth wall’ illusion, seem to nod simultaneously to Haneke’s Funny Games (1997) and an array of pop artefact. Not to mention the presence of Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, 2007; Shaun of the Dead, 2004) as the religious family man, and Alicia Silverstone from Clueless (Amy Heckerling, 1995) as the hysterical mother!Krazy House is a riotous, extreme, unhinged comedy.
